ANCCMedical/Surgical certification recognized.**Grade Determinations**: The following criteria must be met indetermining the grade assignment of candidates, and if appropriate,the level within a grade:- Nurse I Level I - An Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma inNursing, with no additional nursing practice/experiencerequired.- Nurse I Level II - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing andapproximately 1 year of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADNor Diploma in Nursing and a bachelor's degree in a related fieldwith no additional nursing practice/experience; OR a Bachelor'sof Science in Nursing (BSN) with no additional nursingpractice/experience.- Nurse I Level III - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing andapproximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR anADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a relatedfield and approximately 1-2 years of nursingpractice/experience; OR a BSN with approximately 1-2 years ofnursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing(MSN) or related field with a BSN and no additional nursingpractice/experience.- Nurse II - A BSN with approximately 2-3 years of nursingpractice/experience; OR ADN or Diploma in Nursing and aBachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 2-3year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree innursing or related field with a BSN and approximately 1-2 year'sof nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree in nursingor meets basic requirements for appointment and has doctoraldegree in a related field with no additional nursingpractice/experience required.- Nurse III - Master's degree in nursing or related field with BSNand approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; ORa Doctoral degree and approximately 2-3 year's of nursingpractice/experience.- In addition to the requirements above, the Nurse I demonstratesindividual growth and development in clinical practice toincreasing levels of self direction; Nurse II demonstrates unitlevel contributions and leadership; Nurse III demonstratessustained leadership resulting in program contributions andoutcomes at the unit level and beyond.
