All over the world, the Coach name is synonymous with effortless New York style.Coach is part of the Tapestry portfolio - a global house of brands powered by optimism, innovation, and inclusivity.RESPONSIBILITIESGlobal Assortment Planning:* Become the product expert in areas of responsibility: Bags, Wallets, Small Leather Goods* Collaborate with the Global Merchandising team through all phases of product life cycle: preseason product line planning and in-season global trend analysis* Anticipate future consequences and trends, leveraging the teams' sales analytics, to inform future seasonal product strategies and financial framework* Drive global investments against key product strategies across markets, leveraging strong business partnerships to influence business unit investment* Succinctly summarizes investments and highlight areas of risk and opportunity* Build actionable strategies around risks and opportunities identified in the global business* Guide the team in building short & long range product plans based on current trends and overall strategyGlobal Inventory Optimization:* Anticipate Open to Buy needs to support seasonal newness investment, collaborating with business unit buying partners and global inventory management team* Manage investment depth guidance to optimize sales upside and inventory excess risk on key product launches and marketing styles* Leverage the teams' early reads on newness sales to recommend and action strategic inventory re-routing and sharing across markets, or global chase opportunities based on early readsLeadership:* Relied upon for thought leadership, strategic innovation and guiding the junior team* Attract, retain, and engage a high performance team by fostering a collaborative learning environment, celebrating accomplishments, and engaging in open 360 communication* Develop talent with managerial courage, providing direct and actionable positive and correct feedback to others; shares wins and successes with the whole team* Lead by example amongst peers and key partners* Foster effective teamwork and collaboration with key business partners (i.e. Global Merchandising, Product Development, Planning & Logistics, and Business Unit buying teams)* Define and effectively communicate, roles, ownership and stakeholders for key shared deliverablesREQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE* College Degree required* 7+ years of experience in planning, strategy, or business analytics in the Retail Instustry* Minimum of 2 years of people management experience* Excellent problem solving and analytical skills* Superior written, verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with senior management* Must demonstrate strong initiative; and agility to flex across shifting priorities and multiple projects* Strong degree of accountability, and attention to detail* Excellent Microsoft Excel / technical skills; experience in Microsoft PowerPoint* Experience with MicroStrategy or other BI reporting tools is a plusOur Competencies for All Employees* Drive for Results: Can be counted on to exceed goals successfully;
