Scholastic is seeking a Sales Assistant for the independent bookstore channel and Books-A-Million. The sales assistant would report to the Director of Field Sales/Special Markets and provide sales support to our field sales representatives. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing support for account meetings, soliciting sales rep quantities for sales materials, organizing and distributing sales materials via the sales rep weekly mailing, uploading invoices and coop, arranging the bi-weekly field team call and taking notes, creating seasonal catalogs, organizing the project room, opening advertising art job requests. Other main responsibilities include working closely with the field sales reps on all materials needed for Regional Shows and attending weekly sales materials meetings.


* Bachelor's Degree

* Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint.

* Familiar with Google Docs

* Highly organized

* Strong time management skills

* Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

* Interest in sales, preferably in publishing
